Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress who was born three days before Halloween, 1983, in Los Angeles. She is the daughter Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) as well as the grandchild of Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She grew up within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her father is of Afro-Panamanian origin, and her mother of Mexican as well as British Isles ancestry. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she took part in a variety of theatre productions. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural anthropology degree. As Juliet the character in Shakespeare's play "Romeo as well as Juliet", in a Pasadena California production by The Boston Court Theatre. It was her performance that made her a NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Her first appearance on television was in 2005 when she appeared on CBS.
